In order for our communities to conquer poverty, low-income, unemployment, etc., we must go into the affected neighborhoods and make not just a difference, but also transform the mindset of the individuals and families residing within these areas. City Dive, Inc. is a non-profit community outreach organization founded by Terrell L. Murphy, Senior Pastor of New Birth-Charlotte. This community-focused organization has been serving greater Charlotte residents in capacities since its inception four years ago. Programs such as Hype Night, Walter G. Byers Elementary Outreach, and Charlotte's Largest Teen Super Bowl Party have created platforms to influence and improve the quality of life for Mecklenburg youth. This year marks a year of transition as we expand our scope to deliberately and methodically focus on youth and families in at-risk communities specifically along the West Boulevard Corridor.
